What we check

Four things make a phone work.

Almost every phone sold in the last few years passes all four. These are what the IMEI lookup confirms.

01 · eSIM

Built-in eSIM

We're eSIM only, so the phone needs a digital SIM. iPhone XS and later, and most flagship Androids from 2020 on.

02 · Unlocked

Not carrier-locked

If it's still tied to another carrier, they have to release it first. Usually a request in their app once the phone is paid off.

03 · VoLTE

VoLTE for calls

Calls run over LTE rather than the old voice network. Without it a phone can hold data but not place calls.

04 · Bands

The right bands

The phone has to support our network's 5G and LTE bands. Models sold outside the US sometimes don't.

Phones bought outside the US, or sold as GSM-only variants, can miss bands even when the model looks right.

Send us the IMEI and we'll confirm the model, the bands, and whether it needs unlocking first.
